September 3, 2021—Version 12 was released. This version transitioned vRigger to 64 bits, improved the graphics, and added dozens of pieces of gear. Read about the changes to version 12. Learn how to upgrade from a previous version.

October 1, 2019—Version 11 was released. This version includes dozens of enhancements, more than 40 new pieces of gear, and the ability to create firefighting illustrations. Read about the changes to this version. (Maintenance builds were released on October 7 and December 1, 2019.)

April 17, 2017—A free version 10.2 program update was released. Read about the changes to this version.

May 20, 2016—A free version 10.1 gear update was released. This update includes six new pieces of gear.

May 12, 2016—A free version 10.1 maintenance release was released.

November 16, 2015—Iterum, the company that created vRigger, released the RopeRescueTraining.com website. This free website teaches basic rope rescue know-how using vRigger illustrations. It's a great way to see vRigger's capabilities.
